Skyhawk exhibits at Decorex Johannesburg

Skyhawk just recently exhibited at Decorex in Johannesburg. Decorex is the largest décor & design show in Southern Africa and it features the latest on the local and international front with a fresh
perspective on spaces in which to live, work and play.

We spent a fantastic five days talking to people about our incredible journey, the work and our hopes and dreams for the future. We had over 2000 people through our stall over five days and it was wonderful to watch people connect to the magic of Africa through our images.

Thank you to all those who visited the stall

Mozambique from the Sky

Go Magazine - Mozambique from the Sky

Skyhawk was featured in Go and Weg Magazine this month (August 2011) in an eight page portfolio entitled Mozambique from Above. The article showcases some of our images from our recent Mozambique expedition where we flew the length of the Mozambique coastline from South Africa up to the Quirimbas Archipelago on the border of Tanzania.

Nature's Best Photography

Skyhawk awarded Nature's Best Picture of the Week 2011

Photographers from all around the world are invited to sumbit images for the review of Nature's Best Photography and each week one image is featured on the homepage. This year Skyhawk Photography won Picture of the Week 2011 for their image of Sandwich harbour

The Story: The stretch of dramatic coastline between Henties Bay and Sandwich Harbour must be hands-down one of the most magnificent flights in the world. On this particular afternoon, as we flew down the coast from henties Bay, it was a scorching 95 degrees Farenheit on the ground - and astonishingly, the temprature didnt change 2000 feet up! Sandwich Harbour is staggeringly beautiful and so isolated it has a sacred stillness to it. This protected RAMSAR site is a wetalnd of international importance. Host to nearly 70, 000 birds each year, including flamingos, pelicans and terns - it is truly one of nature's miracles.
