The Story: The stretch of dramatic coastline between Henties Bay and Sandwich Harbour must be hands-down one of the most magnificent flights in the world. On this particular afternoon, as we flew down the coast from henties Bay, it was a scorching 95 degrees Farenheit on the ground - and astonishingly, the temprature didnt change 2000 feet up! Sandwich Harbour is staggeringly beautiful and so isolated it has a sacred stillness to it. This protected RAMSAR site is a wetalnd of international importance. Host to nearly 70, 000 birds each year, including flamingos, pelicans and terns - it is truly one of nature's miracles.
